Four fishing boats and an engineering vessel capsized after an unspecified accident in Bohai Bay, China. Thirty-three people were pulled from the water off the coast of eastern China on Wednesday after the five boats they were on capsized in bad weather, a government official said.
"All 33 have been rescued," a woman at the information office of the Shandong province maritime affairs bureau told.
Heavy winds caused the boats to capsize in Bohai Bay on Wednesday morning, she said while declining to name herself.
The official Xinhua news agency reported earlier that 27 people were missing and six had been rescued after the boats got into trouble about 30 nautical miles off the coast of Shandong.
