Mercator Lines has taken delivery of its second chartered-in Post Panamax Chanchai Prem.
Mercator Lines (Singapore) says the company has taken delivery of its second chartered-in Post Panamax Chanchai Prem yesterday. The Post Panamax vessel is a grearless bulk carrier, with capacity of about 93,270 dwt built in the Jangsu New Yangzijiang shipyard in China. This vessel has been chartered in for a period of five years at a daily time charter equivalent cost of US$25,300 ($35,124).
Mercator currently operates a fleet of 13 dry bulk vessels, eleven owned and two chartered-in vessels, comprising geared and gearless Panamaxes/Kamsarmaxes/Post Panamax and a Very Large Ore Carrier.
The addition of this second Post Panamax to the fleet will increase Mercator"s total operating fleet to 14 vessels with an aggregate capacity of 1.3 million dwt.
