Maritime authorities in Australia have banned the livestock carrier Barkly Pearl from its waters for two years after the ship was discovered in Australian waters with a hole in its hull.

Families Plead for Search to Resume for Missing Livestock Carrier
Distraught family members of the missing seafarers from the livestock carrier lost off Japan, the Gulf Livestock 1, launched efforts over the weekend pleading for the search and rescue efforts to continue in an attempt to locate their loved ones.

Japan Resumes Search for Crew of Missing Livestock Carrier
The Japan Coast Guard resumed its search for survivors from the livestock carrier Gulf Livestock 1 which is believes to have capsized and sunk on September 2 in the East China Sea after sailing into Typhoon Maysak.
