Oceania, Kanfer to build ammonia-ready LNG bunkering vessel
Kanfer Shipping AS, a Norway-based shipping company focusing on small-scale LNG and LNG bunkering, and Australia’s Oceania Marine Energy have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to build an ammonia-ready LNG bunkering vessel.

The vessel, which is designed to carry a range of cargoes and bunker Methanol independently, also received classification society approval.

Methanol up for discussion at IMO this week
Twelve methanol-powered ships are already in operation with another nine on order, but inclusion in the code should shorten the time to approval and even lower the cost of constructing tankers, bulkers and containerships using methanol as fuel.
