Workers’ strike halts ship recycling at 22 facilities
The production at 22 ship recycling facilities has been stopped at Izmir Aliaga district in Turkey amid the workforce strike for better employment conditions in the last six days.

2021 saw 704 vessels sold for scrap overall, with a combined deadweight tonnage of 26.4 million and a total scrap value of $2.7 billion, a report released by VesselsValue shows.
