Stena Line adds freight-focused connection on Liepaja-Travemünde route
Swedish ferry operator Stena Line will start a new freight-focused connection between Latvia, Sweden and Germany by adding a port-call in Karlskrona, Sweden, on the existing ferry route between Liepaja in Latvia and Travemünde in Germany from 13 August

World’s 1st methanol-powered commercial ship celebrates 5th birthday
Finnish technology company Wärtsilä, Swedish ferry company Stena Line, and Canadian supplier of methanol Methanex Corporation have marked five years of the successful operation of the methanol-fuelled ferry Stena Germanica.

Stena Line announces redundancies and furloughing of staff
Ferry operator Stena Line has announced that it plans to temporarily suspend the employment of 600 of its 2,500 strong seafarer, docker and port service workforce in the UK and Ireland and seek a further 150 redundancies on account of the COVID-19 crisis.
