It is reported that Arkas Company has increased its Turkish flagged ship count in the trade fleet to 20 with new two bought from Taiwan, "Roza A" and "Tomriz A".

It is reported that Arkas Company has increased its Turkish flagged ship count in the trade fleet to 20 with new two bought from Taiwan, "Roza A" and "Tomriz A"

Arkas Company bought two ships at the age of 10 for 45 million dollars from Yang Ming Marine Transport Company in Taiwan. With this two ships at the capacity 445 TEU(container count) transport capacity increased to 20 thousand 995 TEU. These ships have length of 168.80 meters and breadth of 27.30 meters and depth of 13.50 meters. Authorities said that "Roza A" will be making expeditions between Far East Ports and Mediterranean Ports in July and "Tomriz A" will be in December.

It is imported that Arkas Sea Trade Company will rise the count of ships in its fleet to 23 and transportation capacity in total to 25 thousand 807 TEU at the end of 2007. Authorities told with 7-8 ships, which will be built in these years, until 2010 the investment done will increase to approximately 320 million dollars.

Apart from these, Arkas Company took the delivery of two ships named “M/V Cristina A” and “M/V Mario” which were paid 80 million dollars and bought and built in Germany at Peene-Werft Shipyard, it was also imported that Arkas gave 18 offers to Peene-Werft Shipyard so far and it plans to launch 6 of these until 2010.
