Berlian Laju wins further extension
Indonesi's Berlian Laju Tanker, has been given a further two weeks extension by the Singapore stock exchange to release its 2009 annual results.
The results originally were due to be released on March 1, but then the Singapore bourse gave the company until March 31 to announce the results. Now, in a filing on April 5, BLT director Kevin Wong said the company had secured a ?further and final? extension until April 15.
Mr Wong said the company had experienced ?considerable delays? in finalising the results in time for the March 31 deadline and the extra time was needed due to the ?complexity and time-consuming nature? of performing the required audits on the consolidated financial statements of the company and its group companies.
In March, the Jakarta-based PT Berlian Laju Tanker ended discussions with Norway"s Camillo Eitzen regarding a planned acquisition.
