The World Maritime University operates under the auspices of the IMO
World Maritime University-WMU 2008 graduate ceremony realized with the attendance of International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General Efthimios E. Mitropoulos and U.S Coast Guard Commander Admiral Thad W. Allen.
Turkish students Cagdas Gurbuz and Hakan Ozturk who are charged in the Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs have taken the diplomas from IMO Secretary-General Efthimios E. Mitropoulos.
While the students studying Maritime Safety and Environmental Administration-MSEA, they have also carried out the mission of being Head of Student Council and Discipline Committee successfully.
The World Maritime University (WMU), which founded in 1983 and operates under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), has established an excellent reputation in international maritime community.
University offers MSc and PhD programmes in Sweden, and two entirely user-funded programmes in China, as well as a postgraduate diploma by distance learning and an extensive programme of Executive and Professional Development Courses, both in Malmö and around the globe.
As known, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, Transportation Ministery Deputy Secretary Suat Hayri Aka and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Undersecretary Ismet Yilmaz are the famous people who graduted from The World Maritime University.
