Consortium to invest $650m in Petkim
Erdal Aksoy, shareholder of the SOCAR-Turgas-Injas consortium, said $650 mln are scheduled to be invested in the company after the Supreme Court settled the dispute over privatization.
Erdal Aksoy, shareholder of the SOCAR-Turgas-Injas consortium, which had won the tender for privatization of the Turkey`s Petkim company, said $650 mln are scheduled to be invested in the company after the Supreme Court settled the dispute over privatization.
According to Aksoy, all three shareholders plan to make Petkim the petrochemical hub of Turkey and the whole region.
He said construction of the oil refinery in the Ceyhan terminal is more important for SOCAR and Turgas companies.
A total of $4 bln is to be invested to build the plant with the capacity of 10 mln tons. He noted Ceyhan would be the oil and gas hub.
