There is a certain conversion in Turkey shipping sector
In the dinner of Turkish Shipowners Association the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, 'Of course we have mistakes. I speak on the behalf of you and as one of you. Nobobdy has right to break up this sector by canalizing this'.
While expressing his pleasure of being with representatives of shipping sector which has an important role on the trade and economy of Turkey, Erdogan told 87 percent of Turkey's trade is realized through shipping.
'Turkey's faith has a certain conversion in shipping sector in the last 6 years. Now Tuzla is not the only shipyard on the region. Yalova and many parts of Blacksea are added also. Shipyards are being constructed on these regions which we really appreciate. Until now, there was not any kind of enterprise on this case in our country' said Erdo?an.
Erdogan warned about the possible existence of some kind of people who want to cast a cloud over the stable and confident ambience of the sector.
'We have seen those kind of attempts recently during Tuzla case. Of course, we have mistakes. We don't deny. I speak on the behalf of you and as one of you. Nobobdy has right to break up this sector by canalizing this to different means. We have to solve the problems together and do whatever we have to do. We mustn't bring to an end for this sector' Erdogan said.
'We took lesson from crisis'
'I believe that we took lessons from economic crisis in the earlies of 2000. Now there is no significant risk factor on our finance sector'.
By drawing attention what was happened in America, Erdogan, 'Today a caricaturist has drawn a meaninful cartoon. There is a tower. Ours is like a bidonville next to tower. But the roof of the tower is being destroyed. ?f it is destroyed over us, we would be crushed' said.
'So we must be very careful on this case. I believe that we took lessons from economic crisis in the earlies of 2000. Now there is no significant risk factor on our finance sector. The rate of risk on 2000s was 30- 35 percentage but now it is 2-3 percentage. I couldn't get the latest numbers but I predict it is at most 4 percentage. Meanwhile the situation of America is apparent' said Erdogan.
