DANGEROUS MINUTES IN BOSPHORUS

135 meters Beluga Ship which was loaded containers in Romania and goes to Italy, had a machine accident in engines at 06 30 by Dolmabahçe coast. After ship wanted help from the shore because of losing the control and running to Dolmabahçe Palace, three tugs controlled Directorate General of Coastal Safety, moved to the accident zone.
The ship which was still pulled by flow although it anchored, when there was few meters to crash Dolmabahçe Palace. The vessel, which was reported that it hadn't rented a guide sea pilot, pulled by the tugs to Ahirkapi coasts. Directorate General of Coastal Safety President Salih Orakci said: "One of two vessels passes by Bosphorus creates such a hazardous situation, renting guide sea pilot must be compulsory." Approximately two weeks ago, another ship whose rudder locked was about to crash Ortaköy Mosque.
