An MOL chemical tanker has brought the first imported biomass-derived fuel into Japan. The 20,000 dwt Ginga Lanner brought a cargo of ethyl tertiary butyl ether from France.

An MOL chemical tanker has brought the first imported biomass-derived fuel into Japan. The 20,000 dwt Ginga Lanner brought a cargo of ethyl tertiary butyl ether from France.

The MOL group Corporate said its top priority was to protect the marine and global environment, and that it continues to work proactively on the transport of biomass fuels (bio ETBE and bio ethanol), which are expected to be in great demand as environment-friendly fuel sources.
