Gazprom"s Customs Fees.
Gazprom aims to recover 97 billion rubles ($3.2 billion) of customs fees paid on European gas supplies and shipments through the Blue Stream pipeline under a disputed rule.
Customs overturned the rule, which required full advance payments on gas supplies to Europe at the border rather than on delivery, on Feb. 3 under government order, the firm said in a fourth-quarter report on its web site. The demand led to overpayment of 60 billion rubles, Gazprom said.
The remaining 37 billion rubles was levied on supplies through the Blue Stream pipeline under the Black Sea to Turkey, which Gazprom said should be duty free.
