Hamburg Sud' s Europe - Mediterranean Service now calling at Aliaga and Izmir
With immediate effect, Hamburg Süd will be calling at the TCEEGE Terminal in Aliaga instead of Izmir (Alsancak) on the Northern Route of its Europe - Mediterranean Service. The first port call in Aliaga, which lies 55 kilometres north of Izmir, in Nemrut Bay, will be on 26 March 2010 with the "Nicoline Maersk". TCEEGE is a deep-water terminal featuring sufficient capacity both seaward and landward which is guaranteeing a fast congestion-free handling. In addition, the nearby rail station provides a fast link to the industrial areas in northern Turkey.
