Sar?yer Republic Attorney Genaralship under Turkish Ministry of Justice, has litigated 120 sea pilots who work for TD? C.O., because of getting gratuity under the name of “white bill” from the ships they use as sea pilot.

Sar?yer Republic Attorney Generalship under Ministry of Justice, has litigated (with number 2007/418) 120 sea pilots which includes International Maritime Pilots Association Vice President (IMPA) and Turkish Maritime Pilots President CAHIT ISTIKBAL, for getting gratuity under the name of “white bill” from the ships they use as sea pilot.

It was reported that, pursuant the investigation, Sar?yer Republic Attorney Generalship has taken down the evidence of 120 sea pilots, and the first investigation has been completed.

Pursuant the investigation, 2 people has applied for their complains to sea pilots for “white bills” which are made signed by sea pilots to ships, and send documents that proved the event.

As it known, the fact of Sea Pilots who works at Turkish Straits and Ports under the company TD? C.O. gets money from the ships’ agency under the name of gratuity “white bill” by making the shipowners sign a paper was discovered by Ak?am Newspaper Author Recep Canpolat. After this event, parallel to this TD?. C.O. and Steamboat Agencies Foundation held a conferance with the document of 1.5/061-047 numbered, and after that the conferance took definite decision which, bans the gratuity to sea pilots with under any name such as “white bill”, was promulgated to public opinion.
