Kim Heng ventures into Taiwanese offshore wind farm project
Singapore’s Kim Heng Offshore & Marine Holdings has set up a joint venture in Taiwan to seek more work in the offshore wind farm renewable energy sector.

Bridgewater Marine (Taiwan) Limited, the joint venture between Kim Heng and two Taiwanese individuals, along with Kim Heng’s Taiwanese branch Mazu Land & Marine Works, will support offshore wind farm project by chartering vessels to customers within the Taiwan territory.

The set up aims to provide marine support services for the installation of horizontal directional drilling conduits related to a submarine cable installation works for an offshore wind farm project in Taiwan.

“The group has been seeking more works in the offshore wind farm renewable energy sector not directly impacted by the oil price, in which it can maximise usage of its offshore assets and technical knowhow,” Kim Heng stated.

Singapore-listed Kim Heng said the investment in the joint venture and the Taiwanese branch was funded through internal resources.
