Lukoil increases stake in BP’s Shah Deniz after closing Petronas deal
Russian oil and gas company Lukoil has completed the acquisition of Petronas’ interest in the BP-operated Shah Deniz natural gas project, located in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea, effectively raising its stake in the project.

LUKOIL to build over 25 oil platforms in Caspian Sea
LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft Director General Nikolai Lyashko said today that over 350 billion rubles were being invested in fields of the northern part of the Caspian. Over 25 platforms weighing about 100,000 tons in total will be built, TASS reports.
