The company aims to minimize the impact to its customers supply chain and provide predicta-bility by making a structural change and securing alternative routings.
Maersk will start the temporary suspension of the AE2 service already from week 39. This is one week earlier than its previous announcement. The service will be suspended until mid-November and will resume in line with demand pickup. “To ensure our customers will not face any business disruption, all port calls on the AE2 service will be covered on other services in our network,” the Danish firm says in its announcement.
