Maersk Drilling finds additional work for semi-sub in Malaysia
Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract by Total E&P Malaysia for the semi submersible rig Maersk Deliverer.

The new contract, will have a duration of around 60 days, covering the drilling of an exploration well in Block DW-N Sabah, offshore Malaysia.

Last week, Maersk announced it was reactivating the rig from warm stacking in Namibia after it won a contract in Malaysia with JX Nippon. The contract with Total wil commence upon completion of the contract with JX Nippon, which is estimated to take around 30 days.

Michael Reimer Mortensen, head of global sales at Maersk Drilling, commented: ''It is a great privilege to be able to once again serve Total E&P Malaysia and offer an efficient and safe drilling operating using our highly advanced deepwater semi sub Maersk Deliverer. This is our third deepwater project for Total globally, and the contract further consolidated Maersk Drilling's commitment to the region.''

Reactivation of the rig has already commenced with work being carried out during its voyage to Malaysia.
