Maritime agreement is finalised
The top management of the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands (MACI) was recently in Italy to sign an agreement with Registro Italiano Navale (RINA), the Italian marine interests classification society.
The official signing took place at RINA headquarters in Genoa, Italy, last month.
?In order to effectively expand our capabilities on a worldwide basis, we have official affiliations with seven global Class Societies, thus enabling them to act on our behalf,? said MACI CEO Joel Walton.
Mr Walton headed the delegation which included Alfred Powery, Director - Global Commercial Services, Kenrick Ebanks, Director - Global Operations, and Greg Evans, Director - Global Safety and Compliance.
?MACI has a broad global network of Cayman Islands Shipping representatives, in addition to George Town and U.K.-based maritime professionals who travel extensively, but our agreements with the various prestigious classification societies give us even more reach in effectively and efficiently servicing our valued clients" needs.?
The Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands is the parent organisation of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, which has nine worldwide locations. The Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, a Category 1 member of the prestigious ?Red Ensign? Group, is the world"s leader in the registration of mega-yachts.
