Binali Y?ld?r?m, The Minister of Transport made a statement about the crew"s last status of health.

Expressing the current health condition of the hijacked Turkish ships" crew to be fine and to have taken the necessary steps diplomatically, Binali Y?ld?r?m, The Minister of Transport told: ?Unfortunately NATO can"t get a favorable result even though it has powers there in common. The insurance company and the buccaneers are carrying on negotiations. Via the monitor system that we have already established, we can receive news as well.

The pirate activities are highly widespread

Having pointed to the fact that the buccaneers are not only in Aden Bay, in the exit of Red Sea, but also in Indian Ocean and in China Sea active, went on his comments as follows:

?The pirate activities are highly widespread. After two of our ships were hijacked, these activities started to be put on our agenda. Since last year more than 200 ships have been hijacked. The pirates are well-appointed, they have no central authority and they have become very powerful after they levied ransom. This is a global matter. International Maritime Organization convoked all of the member states promptly about this matter.

Through diplomatic channels we are doing the necessary as well. Unfortunately NATO can"t get a favorable result either, even though it has powers there in common. The health status of our crew is well. The ship is at anchor 6 miles off the shore Somalia. The insurance company and the buccaneers are carrying on negotiations. Via the monitor system that we have already established, we can receive news as well?.
