MTN and Teekay sign agreement

MTN Satellite Services has been awarded a multi-year contract with Teekay Corporation to provide its always-on VSAT satellite communication services on vessels.

MTN Satellite Services, a global provider of at-sea communications, connectivity and content services, has announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Teekay Corporation to provide its always-on VSAT satellite communication services on vessels operating throughout the world. The agreement calls for MTN to provide global C-Band and Ku-Band satellite services to a portion of Teekay"s existing fleet and new builds over the term of the multi-year contract. In addition, MTN will implement several crew welfare services, including crew calling, broadband Internet access and will deliver licensed television content globally.
