Heavy congestion in Saudi Arabia's Riyadh dry port is severely affecting the movements of containers from Dammam to Riyadh, said APL, the container shipping arm of Singapore-based NOL.

The container line added that customers with shipments destined to Riyadh are advised to book their shipments to Dammam instead and make alternative arrangements on their own to truck their containers from Dammam to Riyadh, after customs clearance at Dammam.
