Taiwan-based dry bulk shipping firm Shih Wei Navigation has recently axed an order for a panamax vessel at Japan-based Sasebo Heavy Industries.

Shih Wei said the specifications of the 84,000-dwt vessel do not meet the needs of the company.

Meanwhile, the Taipei-listed company also cancelled a plan to sell 71,671 dwt Giant Pescadores to its subsidiary Dong Lien Maritime in view of business performance.
