Turkish crew of hijacked ship in Nigeria brought to home
Crew members of Turkish flagged ship Ozay-5, which was robbed by sea pirates off the shores of Nigeria, started to be brought to Turkey.
Blue Tankers Ship Entrepreneurship said pirates attacked the ship while being at anchor at Lagos region. The pirates seized money and electronic devices of the crew members.
2nd captain of the ship Volkan Seckin was wounded on the shoulder after resisting the sea pirates.
There were no major injuries or mass property damage in the ship.
The injured crew members have been taken to a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. Their injuries were not life threatening.
The crew members are being brought to Turkey by a plane.
