Otto Marine caught in two legal disputes

Otto Marine caught in two legal disputes
Singapore’s Otto Marine has announced that a creditor of the company has filed an application with Singapore High Court to wind up its subsidiary Go Offshore due to $180k in unpaid debts.

The court has made directions for the application to be heard on August 5.

Go Offshore is not disputing the debt and is in the process of making payment for the debt.

In the meantime, Otto Martine said it has issued two letters to Robert Knutzen Shipholding and Robert Knutzen through the company’s lawyers for charter contract disputes.

Otto Marine claim that Robert Knutzen Shipholding has been in default of about $2.83m in charter payments for two of the group’s vessels.

The company said it is working closely with its lawyers to take all necessary actions including the commencement of legal proceedings to enforce the company’s rights under the charter contracts.
