RS representatives have taken part in the regular sessions of the ADN bodies.
According to the press release of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, RS representatives have taken part in the regular sessions of the ADN bodies. 26-30 January, 2009 the 14th session of Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterway (ADN) and the 2nd session of the ADN Administrative Committee took place in Geneva.
Presently there are ten Parties to the Agreement: Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Luxembourg, Moldova, the Netherlands, the Russian Federation, Romania, France.
The Head of the RS International Division Mikhail Sorokin who participated in the sessions as member of the RF delegation noted: ?The decision to put RS in the list of classification societies fully complying with the requirements for carrying out work within the ADN and recommended for authorization by the Parties, has been taken by the Administrative Committee on its 1st session. At the moment RS is authorized by the Russian Federation. The RS staff is ready to carry out works according to the Agreement?.
