Sanko Holding sets out to oceans
Sanko Holding is now sailling around USA and in the oceans.
Turkish company Vicem A.S., 70 percent of whose shares belongs to Sanko Holding of Turkey, signed an agreement with Irwin Jacobs, chairman of the U.S. builder of recreational boats Genmar Holdings Inc., for the manufacturing of 300 luxurious yachts for a total of 150 million USD.
Sebahattin Hafizoglu, a high-level executive from Vicem A.S., said Sunday that the company also signed an agreement with Genmar Holdings Inc. in 2007 for the manufacturing of 26 ultra-luxurious yachts.
"We are selling Turkish yachts to the world's premier boat manufacturer. A total of 300 yachts will be manufactured and delivered within the next 3-5 years," Hafizoglu said.
"Sanko Holding sets out to oceans with Vicem A.S.. Luxurious yachts manufactured by Turkish workers and engineers are now sailing around USA and in the oceans," he added.
