Scan Med to call Rotterdam and Aarhus
Maersk Line is pleased to announce improvements to its Scan Med service. We will include Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Aarhus (Denmark) in our Scan Med service. Furthermore, we will deploy a fifth vessel in the service.
These changes will allow us to provide our customers a more reliable and competitive product between North Europe and the Mediterranean. In order to maintain the integrity of the service, we will discontinue the Felixstowe export call due to the ongoing congestion in this location.
The new rotation will be Gioia Tauro (Italy), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Felixstowe (United Kingdom), Bremerhaven (Germany), Gothenburg (Sweden), Aarhus (Denmark), Bremerhaven (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Piraeus (Greece), Ambarli (Turkey), Haydarpasa (Turkey), Izmir (Turkey), and Gioia Tauro (Italy).
The first vessel to enter the new rotation is Maersk Ankara, arriving in Gioia Tauro on 6 April 2008. Our customers will continue to benefit from the features that characterise Maersk Line's Scan Med service, including: Efficient connections to Maersk Line's extensive feeder networks in North Europe and the Mediterranean Global connectivity via seamless access to Maersk Line's worldwide network.
