New bulk cargo carrier Prisco Udokan has been built by STX Shipbuilding (Republic of Korea) for PRISCO. Prisco Udokan is the second vessel of the series. Its length is 190 m, breadth - 32 m. The vessel with five cargo holds and four 30-tonne cranes is designed for transportation of dry bulk and loose cargo: grain, iron ore, sulfur, cement and rolled metal.

The vessel is to leave for her maiden voyage on September 25.

As it was reported earlier, PRISCO completed the first stage of its shipbuilding program in June 2009. Four 100,000-dwt tankers and three 51,000-dwt tankers were put into operation in the 6-month period.

JSC Primorsk Shipping Corporation specializes in marine transportation of bulk liquid cargoes all around the world. Ice class vessels including large-capacity ones equipped for operation in freezing seas conditions make up the core of the сompany"s fleet. The Primorsk Shipping Corporation"s activities include commercial and technical management, agency services and training qualified specialists in sea transport and gas-and-oil producing industry. The Corporation operates 19 tankers with their aggregate deadweight of 1 776 305 tons. Average age of the company"s tankers slightly exceeds 2 years.
