The cross-strait direct service was launched on December 15 last year when Jiangsu's 12 ports became the first to be opened towards Taiwan, including 10 river ports, Taicang, Nantong, Zhangjiagang, Jiangyin, Yangzhou, Changshu, Changzhou, Qinzhou, Zhenjiang, and two seaports of Lianyungang and Dafeng.
