President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of Zangazur.

The State Caspian Navigation"s ?Zangazur? tanker was put into operation in a ceremony held on this occasion. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony, the President"s press service told. The president looked at the service and residential areas of the tanker and took an interest in the life and work conditions of the sailors. President Aliyev was informed that ?Zangazur? tanker was built in Nijini Novgorod, Russia. The tanker will be used for oil transportation to the Sangachal terminal for its export via Heydar Aliyev Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. The tanker was built on the same project with ?Presidnet Heydar Aliyev? tanker which carries oil and oil products. This type of tankers is the biggest one exploited in the Caspian Sea. The State Caspian Navigation has six such tankers. Another one tanker will be put into operation by the end of 2009.

?Zangazur? tanker has 13 thousands tons of shipping capacity. The navigation has totally 79 ships and 42 of them are tankers and 37 are cargo ships.

President Ilham Aliyev looked at the command bridge of the tanker. The head of state was informed that the tanker has computerized ruling system and was provided with the most modern navigation equipments. President Ilham Aliyev pressed the button putting the tanker into operation.
