Turkey's crude oil imports up 15.53% in June
Production of oil refinery products increase by 17.62% to 2.56 million tonnes in June
Turkey's crude oil imports rose by 15.53% to 2.12 million tonnes in June 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, according to a report released by the country's energy watchdog on Friday.
The country imported the most crude oil from Iraq with 898,915 tonnes in June. Russia and Kazakhstan followed with 754,480 and 145,255 tonnes, respectively, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) said.
The country's total import of oil products decreased by 6.99% in June to 3.15 million tonnes compared to June 2018.
Production of oil refinery products increased by 17.62% to 2.56 million tonnes. In addition, diesel and gasoline production was up by 40.04% and 17.36%, reaching nearly 1.05 million tonnes and 449 thousand tonnes, respectively.
In June, total fuel sales fell by 5.40% to 2.40 million tonnes compared to the same month last year.
