Turkish businessmen in India
Turkish exporter companies are after business deals in India while Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen is holding talks with Indian ministers to help Turkish companies in this country.
Turkish businessmen found the prices in India low for export so they are planning to buy raw materials from this country for appropriate prices.
Turkish businessmen who earlier invested in India say Turkey can make production in India and then surrounding countries, Turkic republics and Africa.
Minister Tuzmen, who is currently in India with a delegation of 170 businessmen, met five ministers in New Delhi, and conveyed Turkey's determination to boost trade volume between the two countries.
Tuzmen stressed that a free trade agreement should rapidly be signed to increase trade volume. Tuzmen set the trade volume target between Turkey and India as 10 billion USD in a short time. On the other hand, businessmen had nearly 1,000 meetings with Indian businessmen.
Tuzmen who proceeded to Mumbai on Thursday attended a reception which was hosted in his honor by Indian-Turkish Businessmen's Association. Sources said big companies both from Turkey and India are working on making mutual investments.
