Turkish firm' ship stuck at sea
Turkish cargo ship with 14 crew members on board is stuck at sea, 40 km from the Albanian port of Durres.

Turkish cargo ship with 14 crew members,including azerbaijani and georgian, on board is stuck at sea, 40 km from the Albanian port of Durres.

Eight of the Premier's crew members are Azerbaijani and six are Georgian. It is carrying glass from Turkey to Albania.

Cambodian flagged Premier belongs to Turkey's Mareks company. Premier that was builded in 1969 is 2478 gross tonne with 3338 dwt and its height is 114 meters.

Crew member Intigam Melikov said the ship's documentation had been taken away but it was not allowed to dock at Durres.

He said the situation on board was critical: "We are left here without food and fuel. The crew are ill. One of us has been taken to hospital with the help of fishermen. He has been diagnosed with a heart attack."

"Exit and entrance to the city are prohibited," Melikov said. "We have told everyone but no-one has responded. We have sent an SOS signal."
