Turkish prime minister to visit Greece in May
Greece's government says Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Athens next month, but the date has still to be fixed.
A statement from the office Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said the two men spoke on the telephone Friday and agreed on the visit.
It said the trip would be preceded by bilateral meetings to discuss financial cooperation and other issues.
Neighbors Greece and Turkey have improved historically hostile relations over the past decade, but remain at odds over the divided island of Cyprus and maritime boundaries in the Aegean Sea. The disputes have further complicated Turkey's troubled bid to join the European Union _ a bid Athens supports.
