Ukraine proposes Russia to pay a higher rent for the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this during the Big Politics political talk show on the Inter TV Channel on Friday evening.
"In our turn we proposed to increase the rent for this base on the territory of Sevastopol," said the prime minister.
Azarov said the Russian side has not made any statements concerning the prolongation of the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine in the context of the negotiations on a lower price of natural gas for Ukraine.
As earlier reported, Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko believes it is premature to discuss the question of prolongation of the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.
