The Ukrainian flagged cargo vessel ?Danapris 2? and the Panamanian flagged cargo vessel ?Emerad 1? came into collision at Dardanellen, Turkey due to an unknown failure.
Two foreign flagged cargo vessel came into collusion in Bozcaada at Dardanellen.
According to the information received from Turkish Maritime Magazine, the Ukrainian flagged 'Danapris 2' and the Panamanian flagged 'Emerad 1' cargo vessels, which were cruising off the shore Bozcaada due to the fact that the vessels did not pay attention to VTS alerts. After receiving the vessels" call for help,the Sea Traffic Center (VTS) routed the boats belonging Coast Guard General Directorate and the trailers, which had been deployed in Çanakkale, to accident district.
No immadiate threat for the ships to sink
Ender Kurt, Çanakkale Regional Manager, Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs told Turkish Maritime Magazine that nobody was injured or got killed due to the accident and that there is no sinking danger existing.
