Capital Ship Management has reportedly reached an agreement with South Korea"s Samho Shipbuilding to build a maximum of six 32,000-dwt handymax bulkers.
Hellas-based Capital Ship Management, a company connected to NY-listed Capital Product Partners (although a different entity) has reportedly reached an agreement with South Korea"s Samho Shipbuilding to build a maximum of six 32,000-dwt handymax bulkers. The vessels have been scheduled for delivery during 2010-2011, but the price of the deal wasn"t disclosed. Samho built its repuatation as a chemical tanker specialist. Located in Tongyeong city, the yard is not to be confused with the Hyundai Heavy affiliate also called Samho but based in Mopko. Capital booked twelve 25,000 dwt chemical tankers with Samho back in 2007.
